A Letter From Amma

"I never wrote the recipes down."

In our house the measurements lived in the hands, not on paper. A fistful of mustard, chilli until the colour looked right, oil until the mango floated. My mother taught me in the courtyard, standing beside the grinding stone, and her mother taught her the same way.

When the children moved to the cities, they missed the taste more than the house. So we began packing a little extra — first for family, then for neighbours, and now for you. Nothing has changed in the kitchen. Same clay jars, same summer sun, same patience.

What you open is not a product. It is a Sunday afternoon in Bhimavaram, sealed in a jar.
